Shruti Mittal

Shruti Mittal is a research analyst in the Technology and Society Program at Carnegie India. Her work focuses on semiconductor industrial policy, AI governance, and open approaches to development for the Global South. She has previously contributed to the Indian Express, The Hindu, and the Strategist.

Prior to working at Carnegie India, Shruti was a research associate at a New Delhi-based policy advisory firm Evam Law and Policy, where she worked on online gaming law regulation and AI compute policy, providing advisory services to Indian industry players. At Evam, she also led Digital Republic, where she wrote fortnightly newsletters on India’s digital economy and geopolitical developments in the technology landscape.
